Explorers is where independence turns into real‑world confidence. As a district‑run section, our units bring young people together from across the area, creating a bigger, more diverse mix of ideas, skills and friendships.

Explorers shape their own programme, deciding what they want to take on next — and that freedom leads to everything from the London Monopoly Run and night adventures to skills sessions, social events and planning their own camps and projects.

It’s also a stage of life filled with pressure: exams, college choices, first jobs, shifting priorities. Explorers becomes a steady base where they support each other, revise together, unwind together and remind one another that they’re not facing it all alone.

The team spirit is strong, and the friendships often last far beyond their time in uniform.
